Based in the City of Brighton and Hove, I am a photographer with an independent eye and vision that brings a slightly unconventional method and results to my picture making. With a passion for high calibre monochrome film, I rarely work with digital cameras, and still prefer the original methods for printing, using skilled professionals in the printing field to help me realise the visions I see when making an image. I am equally comfortable working with colour.
Growing up in west London during the early punk era, and with very strong connections to the area still, has instilled an urban grit to my work that I thoroughly enjoy, trying to connect with the people I am photographing, revealing something new, and I hope that my own humanity shines through too. As well as people, I enjoy the very natural elements in the amazing world around us, and have produced a series of seafront images in Brighton that can be purchased here online, and have been somewhat blessed to live in this lovely old decaying City of Brighton, with the south downs on our doorstep. Learn Photography in a day on one of our One Day Landscape Photography Courses in Brighton, Sussex. Get to know your camera and its settings, understand controlling changing light situations, composure, and how to get the most our of your SLR or Digital camera. It is with great sadness to learn of Sir Norman Wisdom passing away yesterday evening, 4 October 2010. Having worked with him once I cannot claim to have known him but he was an absolute gentleman to work with and lots of fun. I was priviledged to spend an hour in his company photographing him. RIP
